It’s garage week here at the House of Rock. I’ve been trying to get around to doing some major garage renovations, and finally things are beginning to go down. Let’s take a look at the progress so far.
The garage here is huge. The problem is that it’s hardly close to finished. Before we started, the floor was 3/4 dirt and rocks and the walls were unfinished. The best part of the garage was the climbing wall.
The bag of trash is quite fitting really.
The first step was to dig out the floor and pour some concrete. I hired a local contractor to help me out, as this amount of labor wasn’t really within my motivational comfort zone.
Half the gravel placed.
The guys did a good job with the floor. Here it is post concrete pour:
Awesome!
I’m very pleased at how everything’s coming together. I have this week off so I’ll be doing more work to try and get the walls finished and a few garage door openers installed. Stay tuned!
Are you going to leave it plain concrete or are you going to put one of those neat Epoxy coats on it? Perhaps a snazzy flake chip color scheme, or go with the standard white, black and grey?
I think he should checkerboard it!
is ‘shamsu’ deliberate? i like it.
