yesterday I purchased the DYSON VACUUM CLEANER!
The top of the top for V-cleaners, this beast can clean anything you throw in front of it. My home is now that much closer to being clean.
But the real amazing part of yesterday’s purchase was the amazing deal I got on it. Let me begin my story yesterday at 5:15pm…
work was letting down and I decided I would stroll onto the dyson webpage to explore the vacuum options available to me. As I perused, I found two locations right by the new home where Dysons were sold. The first? home depot. The second? Kohls.
After leaving work and stopping by the house I decided to check out the two locations to see which had a better deal on this amazing cleaning appliance. First I went to Kohls and was Stunned to find that they didn’t even have a floor model out on display. nothing! Where were the dysons!
“no worries,” I said to myself, “The home depot will not disappoint.” And with that I was off to home depot. It took me a good 5 minutes of strolling down aisles before I found the elusive dysons. There were two brands on display. I considered my options and decided to go for the DC07. I called a sales rep over and asked him if he could get me one. He bustled off to find a computer and came back moments later informing me they were out.
“Would it be possible to get a floor model at a discounted price?” I asked
“no. we’re not allowed to sell those.”
My head lowered in shame, I left the home depot.
Don’t worry, my faithful reader, the story doesn’t end here. On my drive back to the house, I decided to stop at Kohls once more to ask if they had any Dysons in the back.
“Do you have any Dyson Vacuum cleaners in the back?” I asked
“Sure do,” the house wares guy told me.
how exciting! Now, regularly, the Dyson Vacuum cleaner costs $399.00 but… since it was kohls and convenient I figured it would likely be marked up to $420.00. That was okay with me though. I decided I would still buy it.
He brought out my Dyson and I took it up to the cash register. It was on sale! $380.00! But that’s not all! Apparently there was some funky promotion going on where for every 50 dollars you spend, you get a $10 gift certificate for future Kohls purchases. The sales clerk handed me $70.00 worth of vouchers!
now that is a deal.
