8244 on the third try! At Level 7 they take away the country borders and basically, I got tanked because how am I supposed to point out places like Vienna with no frame of reference?

9755 on my 1st try. I should read things better. I read Swaziland as Switzerland…

It’s really frustrating that this game uses a Mercator Projection. I hate Mercator Projections!

I’ve played similar games where speed was the crucial factor. In this game, the more accurate you are gets you a multiplier score, so better to go slow and pinpoint exactly than it is to go fast and less accurate.

Thought this might be a fun thing for the Contemporary Issues class at the high school, so forwarded it to the teacher. Since she liked it way better than her “last class before vacation” plan, she took the huge class to the computer room and had them either work alone or group together in teams. For one hour the kids worked on the game. Because enhancing their knowledge of locations was the ultimate goal, they had the option to use maps . The official competition began during the last half hour. All teams started at level one and went crazy for thirty minutes. The highest scoring team scored over 20,000+ points (maps were used). The highest score without a map was 14,000+ by a sophomore working alone. The game kept 30 or so kids fully and intensely engaged for 90 minutes. It was amazing, especially for the day before Christmas vacation !

Thanks so much for the link! ( I myself scored miserably but found it to be quite addictive…)
