Have any of you guys seriously thought about the spelling of the weekday “Wednesday”?
Maybe I’ve been pronouncing it wrong for the past 26 years, but I’ve always said it like: Whensday. And I don’t think I’m alone. Who the heck put that ‘d’ before the ‘n’
You are not alone. That word screwed with me so much in elementary and high school. I’m sure there are other words like this, but I can’t think of any off the top of my head.
The spelling of February really gets to me. I never pronounce that first ‘r’.
Know what words I can never spell correctly? Certain words with A’s and U’s next to each other.

Stop mocking me!!!
my grandpa with his midwestern accent pronounces it “feb-rury” but I agree that I pronounce it more like “feb-u-airy”
I can never spell guarantee also
Wednesday is a funny word I agree, I just looked it up on Wiki and found out some interesting trivia, ‘Wednesday’ in the Adams Family, is so called due to the nursery rhyme “Wednesday’s child is full of woe” mind-blowing..
I betcha that Brett Favre was born on a Wednesday in February.
