Secondly, the water wasn’t wasted. During the 9 days we didn’t have water some residue formed in the pipes. Each faucet had to be run for awhile before the water came out clean instead of brown.
Lastly, even if this was not the case, is it a waste of resources if used for art and entertainment?
The problem light that I made awhile ago sits on my desk. One of the artless engineers walked in, pointed at it and said:
“what is this?”
I responded “it’s a problem light. When there’s a problem, I turn on the light.”
“looks more like a waste of electricity to me.” he responded.
I think life is far more enjoyable when you’re not that type of person.
The type of person who is conscientious about the environment?
The type of person who is thoughtful about the energy that he or she uses?
The type of person who would prefer to not leave all the lights on in the apartment, not run the AC at 70 degrees all day, not leave the computer on 24/7, or not run the water continuously as he or she does dishes?
But hey, if you think that things like water running out of all your faucets is art…then by all means…use as many of the natural resources as you possibly can for your own personal entertainment.
And I think you better be careful about who you label as “artless.” Or how people choose to enjoy life.
oh, ps, i loved this video. it made me laugh. i am so happy you have water again. Caitlin should try living for 9 days without water at her home. Seriously Caitlin, come on, stop raining on people’s parades in these comment sections. Ha ha, no pun intended!

For some reason, I read that last sentence as:
“I think life is far more enjoyable when you’re not a fat person.”

Lastly, I’m completely serious.
When did mikedidonato.com get invaded by hippies?
Puppies!
Prescription: 1 chill-pill.
We waste more water flushing the toilet every time you go to the bathroom than was wasted by the making of that video.
Way to waste electrons.
Boo, hiss. Who is this chick?
