Adam requested some info about humorous April Fools pranks that have been done in the past. Sadly, I can’t think of many.
Although there was that time I put a giant Meat shower curtain up at Rick Richter’s vegetarian apartment. That was pretty funny but I don’t think it was on April first.
Anyone have any good April fools stories?
In 1957, the BBC ran a “documentary” about the famous Spaghetti Harvest, http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/april/1/newsid_2819000/2819261.stm which apparently had people requesting spaghetti plants.
In a Media Literacy class this last week, the documentary was shown, and it was amazing how many kids were taken in by it – not that they requested spaghetti trees, but that many of them didn’t seem to note anything odd about it!
Did anybody else, before even getting to the next line, get REALLY excited when they read “giant Meat shower” ?
I wish beef came out of the showerhead at MY house…
