We’ve been listening to a lot of Pandora at the house and I think we’re going to bite the bullet and buy the ad-free Pandora one. I’m AMAZED that I would consider doing this because the subscription cost is $5/month. PER MONTH. But oh man. Those ads are so annoying. That this subscription is almost as much as Netflix bewilders me.
Does anyone else pay for a music subscription service that’s comparable? and is yours cheaper?
Do it! I might be still grandfathered into the old pricing structure but $5/month is totally worth it if you could you consider the minutes listened to per month and the frustration caused by the ads. You won’t look back.
Pete! Nice to hear from you!
I think we’re going to stick with Pandora One. The ads are massively annoying. The recommended stations are decent as well. Do you have any particular stations that you’d recommend for us?
I’ve been on a blues kick lately and listening to Pandora’s station for that. I like the Funk Jazz one at times as well.
This probably won’t work, but here’s a few of the ones I created that I like.

If the links work, its an extra surprise since you have no idea what genre they are. :-)
Why not spotify? Same price, has radio & playlists, and if you ever have a hankering for a certain song you can play it on demand.
I’m not sure if the price has been changed since you signed up (it may have) but right now the premium non-ad version of spotify is $9.99/month. Choosing songs is handy for sure, but most of the music we listen to at the moment is for background ambiance. Not worth the extra $5/month for us.
We like Spotify!!! A lot!!!!
Spotify all the way.
