Sleep No More

Whoa it’s December and it’s been way too long since I updated. I even have some sweater pictures that you folks kindly sent to me during previous Thursdays sitting idly, waiting for publishing.

It’s probably safe to say that things have been busy. My work travel concluded for the year last week with a trip to Michigan and Ohio. I’m sad to report that even with all my trips, I haven’t been able to return to my elite Holiday Inn Platinum Status of yesteryear. Ahh well.

This past weekend I went to Sleep No More in NYC with Jen. For those not in the know, Sleep No More is a rendition of MacBeth though it’s nothing like anything you’ve experienced before. GO TO THIS SHOW. GO. GO NOW. BUY TICKETS. It is absolutely mind-blowingly intense. I got an e-mail a few days before the event that warned of “intense psychological experiences.”

Accurate? Yes.

There was one scene of the show that might hold first place prize as the most unique and potent sensory overloaded minutes of my life.

I’m planning on gathering a larger group of people together to go again in February. I can’t wait. The show is pretty much all I can think about. It’s so perfectly vivid, stimulating, harsh, and macabre.

It’s probably better the less you know about it as long as you are prepared that it’s going to be highly unconventional and bizarre.

whew. What an experience.

Let me know when you go in Feb, I could definitely be interested. Have not been to NYC nearly enough in the last year!
