So let’s say you discover that there’s a fish that can see pretty awesome in the dark. And let’s say you figure out that it’s because there’s Chlorophyll in the fishes eyes that registers red light better.
If this were me, I think it’s safe to say that I would not assume that you could just make special Chlorophyll eye drops and suddenly be able to see in the dark.
But that’s exactly what marine biologist Ron Douglas did. And it worked.
