Mayrch.

Am I the only one who gets confused between May and March? I would like to recommend we change ‘March’ to ‘Obamarch’ to create some additional distinction between the two months.

Screw the “M.” How about “Barackurary”?

I think we should get a month off in the summer like Europeans, and that month should be called Baraugust.

Heck, why are we holding back. Barackurary, Februama, Obamarch, Aprama, Malia, Jubama, Obamly, Baraugust, Sashamber, Obamaber, Novemichelle, Decembarack.

This is a great idea. Can we still have a month off, though? I think one day Barack should just walk out onto the White House’s front steps, ring a bell, and declare the month off. It’ll be like 30 snow days in a row, but hopefully without the snow.

I don’t know about anybody else, but I think the months need new names already. Not necessarily Obama-oriented…
This Roman pantheon stuff has gotten a little old, hasn’t it?
Secondly, things would make a lot more sense if there were only 10 months, 37 days each. 5 weeks, then one extra weekend at the end (we could call it the monthend). Each month starts with Monday. Then, one day, which doesn’t even register as a day of the week, January 0, for extra new year’s hangover recovery.
Leap years will have ANOTHER day off, we could all vote for where it would be inserted each year. This would be fun, full of variety, and since it lands at a different point each year, finally shut up all those people who are born on Feb. 29 and say things like “I’m technically only 7 years old this year” and think they’re sooooo clever.
    Game on!

    YES.
    I mean NO. Wait….
I wrote that way too late to think straight.
But there’s probably some good ideas in there…

If we’re going to rename all the months, let use different Presidents for each one, or maybe forget Presidents and go with celebrities.

We could just rename the months after constellations/astrological signs, because stars are cool, and simplifying things is also cool.

Could be interesting. But can we keep September? I’ve always liked the name.
