This morning all sorts of small things went awry. I forgot my towel when I went in to take a shower, left my shaving cream in a travel bag, couldn’t find my pants, ran out of milk – all sorts of small little nuisances. Individually none of them would be that big of a deal, but collectively they have launched me into a really lame mood.
I really have no legitimate reason to be cranky. Work is going really well, and last night I rocked that 5.12 that I mentioned previously with only a single fall. But that’s the way it works.
In the meantime, I’ll tell you about an exciting game that I ordered. On Saturday we had a huge food fest at the House of Rock. Tom & Mykal came down from Massachusetts and Viv and James joined us about halfway through the night. In addition to food we played a bunch of games. My personal favorite was Pandemic. Pandemic is a cooperative board game where the players work together to try and beat the board. It was pretty intense as the plague slowly overtook the world. Our group lost in our battle, but the game was rockin’ enough that I ordered it from Amazon.
What many of you don’t realize about this story is…Mike D only has one pair of pants.
They’re specially made.
Because he’s enormous.
You couldn’t find your pants??????
well, I was looking for a very specific pair of pants to match my shirt tie combo. And I couldn’t find them anywhere! Ironically, it turns out that I had smartly hung them up and set them aside so I wouldn’t have any trouble finding them.
so much for that plan.
I had a morning like this Monday. I woke up convinced I must get back to the important work I was doing in my sleep so I kept hitting the snooze button, b/c in my mind it would have been terrible to wake up. The important task in my dream? Finish reading Canterbury Tales and then write up an essay on it. That’s right I was stuck in High School in my dream.
Hope your day has picked up since this morning. And enjoy Pandemic when you get it.
