In the comments last week, William asked whether the place where I was going in Ukraine was truly remote; yeah, it is really. It’s in the most northeast oblast (province) of Ukraine, not far from Russia.

The exact location’s a little bit off. My destination is actually a little bit West of that marker, but you get the idea. I fly into Kiev where Jess will pick me up with her Ukrainian host sister. I think we’re all staying in one of the major cities for the first night and then venturing out to the boonies on Monday (today).
