Every once in awhile when I’m walking to the printer or back to my cube, I quietly whisper some motivational words to keep myself going for the day. Things like “It’s 8:15 and you’re already printing documents. Way to go mike d.” or before a meeting “Get in there and show ’em how it’s done mike d.”
well, this morning after a positive phone call I was heading back to my cube wearing my red power tie and said to myself:
“Rock on mike d. You got your power tie. You got your crisp shirt. You’re wearing pants.”
You’re wearing pants? That’s not motivational at all. Talk about losing the moment.
I was going to write about how I think that’s weird…
But really.
What’s the point.
Do you find it strange that I motivate myself or that I motivate myself poorly?
I think tomorrow you should try not wearing pants… and see if your less motivated
Hahahahaha
Maybe you’re subconsiously afraid of accidentally turning up to work without any pants?
Hahaha! You’re wearing pants…
Classic MikeD
Reminds me of….

That your poor attempt at motivation seems to work…
What if you properly motivated yourself?
Would you explode?
How do you properly motivate JonAbad?
perhaps you meant “You’re wearing your fancy pants”
Maybe you’re just really glad you got INTO your pants? I mean, without the help of a special mechanism, a team of oxen and 55 gallons of Crisco.
Zing!
I motivate myself with to do lists. And I make little boxes so I can check things off. And when I really need an extra push I put really simple stuff or stuff I’ve already done on there. Like, “Go say Hi to Ken” or “Email Daka Bob”
