As they say in wrestling, “it is on”
Till the break o’ dawn
“We got beets!”
Mmmm beets. We had some just the other night. How did you cook them?
we boiled them. Surprisingly, I don’t like Harvard beets. The weird sauce doesn’t do it for me. But, throw ’em in some boiling water for awhile… oh yeah.
Do you have any good beet recipes? hmm. they must exist. Beets are great.
I have no idea what harvard beets are. My favorite are sweet pickled beets, but my Mom makes them and I don’t know how. We have a good glazed beet recipe(glazed with apricoat juice yummy!) and steamed beets with sour cream.
I’m not a big fan of Beets. Anything that looks like it is bleeding that didn’t at one point belongto an animal, I don’t trust. Maybe it has to do with my hatred towards all things chlorophytic, I just don’t trust ’em.
I regret I won’t be able to partake in this competition. I really think that with more time on my hands I could get above 3rd place this time. Evil clowns and dinosaurs, can it get any better?
Probably, if instead of dinosaurs it was small children, and instead of an evil clown it was dinosaurs.
One of the best things to make with beets is borscht. It is an awesome Russian/German beef and beet soup that kicks your butt for a week. You cook up a huge pot of it, and keep the pot in the fridge during the week, heating it up for dinner each night. Every night, it tastes a little different, due to further intermingling of flavors. My mom makes this at least once every winter, and it is the bomb. Look up a recipe online and enjoy.
i can’t commit to this contest yet…
evil clowns and dinos don’t strike my fancy.
maybe inspiration will hit during the hurricane though. who knows.
All I know about beets is my cubicle neighbor eats borscht all the time and it smells like week-old dead marmots.
However… clowns, dinosaurs, what more do you want?!
The cakelar!
Ben, where do you come across week-old dead marmots? Don’t they get eaten by bears or evil clowns first?
Hey Jon,
maybe inspiration will smack you in the face when you see mine.
Maybe… But I have my doubts.
I may use mspaint to draw a rescue note when Rita shows up.
Bring on the Cakeler!
And as for those who are not participating – good! My plan to eliminate the competition by exporting them or keeping them busy proceeds apace.
I get all my week-old dead marmots at Big Bob’s Dead Marmot Emporium… they have all the dead marmot’s you’d need… from fresh to a year old.
