Lent update!

Lent has been tough thus far.

This past weekend when I visited Jill I was tempted by a giant chocolate cake that happened to be there.
Not 24 hrs later, my sister Theresa offered me a handful of delicious nestle chocolate chips.
I have turned down eclairs, lollipops, french fries, potato chips, and numerous soda opportunities. So far I have been unrelenting in my refusal of these tasty treats. only a harrowing month or so to go.

::abrupt topic change::

I think I’d like to learn how to skateboard. What an interesting sport, skateboarding is. I’m curious how long it would take to master something like that. The main reason I want to try skateboarding is that next winter I’m going to try snowboarding. And I would imagine that mastering skateboarding first could be a major plus. That’s just me, thinking aloud.

    Lent, I gave up crisps for lent and today I took a crisp. I didn’t even think about it until the beautful wonderness was in my mouth and down my throat. ‘NOOO’ I cried!’
    I happen to of given myself an exception to the rule, mini cheddars. How in any way shape or form are these crisp like? None, my friends all seem to think they are….crazy

    Crisp?
    Is that a chip in americatalk? Like a potato chip?

    And if those mini cheddars are baked not fried, then you’re probably good.

    And Mike, I want to try snowboarding too but I’d rather try on snow which is softer than the concrete/asphalt needed for skateboarding.

    DuDe. I totally want to know how to skateboard. I’ve always wanted to be that girl. How much are skateboards? I would be willing to invest a lot of time into it this summer… because, well, grad school is all about fun.

    I think if a person describes skateboarding as “an interesting sport” he is not ready for it. If a person were to describe skateboarding as “a rockin bad-ass way to kill some time” he might be on the right track. Since I can only manage to describe skateboarding as “cool,” I am stuck at home watching the X-TREME games on ESPN2 and wishing I was so talented.

    *thinks it over* Crisp = chip, that is odd though, as chips over here, are fries for you
    Mini Cheddars are baked I have decided also

    If fries are chips and chips are crisps, then are fries crisps? Huh?
