1 CommentA lot of thought goes into the design of fonts.
Here’s a little write up describing design techniques that we probably all take for granted.

6 CommentsMike D: So Paulette, talk a few words about your wedding
Paulette: it was good. I had a dream about it last night actually, my wedding and my high school reunion were combined. Why?
Mike D: I need content for 720
Paulette: I could tell you the story of Bubba.
Side story: Bubba caught the garter at the wedding. his performance was epic.
Mike D: okay.
Paulette: the next day, bubba and my fiends went to the fair at home in long island. and they were walking through the fair there were all these firemen standing by the firehouse. One fireman guy is staring bubba down. So bubba turns to jim and says “oh man… this guy is staring me down. what should I do?” Jim replied “don’t look at him, don’t look at him” the guy is in full fireman gear. so then the guy goes over to him and says “bubba?” and bubba’s like “yeah?” “from last night?” “yeah?” “you were awesome!” it turns it out the fireman was my neighbor. so then he calls across the way “Honey honey!” and his wife lisa turns around and the fireman yells “HEY! it’s bubba! from the party last night!”
and the world appreciated Bubba
Apparently… bubba does this sort of thing frequently
Authored by: mike d.Did you know I took a breakdancing class for a few months?

Some great slow motion, and some sweet halloween opening music.
Authored by: mike d.At this point, Jesse has started hating breakdancing.

Yet we continue.
Alicia and Dwane got married on December 1st out on Cape Cod.
The day before the wedding Alicia, Armaiti, Nina, and I got into our pajamas and realized that we had an awesome assortment pajama pants. Check it out:
The people at the wedding were amazing. Everyone who was in town the night before went out to Karaoke at the Sea Dog. It was awesome. Mind you, many of the attendants were musicians so the quality of song was top notch. Alicia pulled out an UNMATCHED version of Heart’s “Barracuda.”
Anyway, the day of the wedding was surprisingly relaxed. I would say that the wedding went flawlessly. The music, as I mentioned in a previous post, was Stunning. Here are some pictures!

The reception was great. After the wedding, a bunch of us went back to the house and relaxed and chatted. Overall, I would say that the wedding was a huge huge success.

Authored by: mike d.Tony and Paulette got married a few months back, but I never got around to posting pictures. What better opportunity than the 720 Posts Love project.
Tony and Paulette got married in Meriden which was extremely convenient for me. (There were bagpipes)
Paulette looked gorgeous and Tony was all sorts of classy. The exciting hope at this wedding was to setup a rockclimb between the ceremony and the reception. You see, Tony and Paulette both climb. And Paulette is uniquely awesome enough to allow Tony to consider completing a climb in his Tux.
So, immediately after the wedding Dave (shown below) and I zipped over to Cathole to set up a route.
Pegasus was open and the weather was perfect. We parked and immediately set into action. I had brought 200 feet of Christmas lights. The first thing we did after putting the ropes up was lace the hiking approach to the climb with christmas lights.
I purchased a transformer that connected to my car battery to provide power to that and the boombox which was set up to play Eye of the Tiger upon the limo’s arrival.
I also brought a spare tux jacket in case Tony didn’t want to climb in his. The outcome was pure beauty:
Unfortunately, the pictures took a bit too long… so Tony and Paulette were unable to come. Bummer! Dave and I were completely drenched in sweat by the completion of this endeavor but it was still super fun. Congrats Tony and Paulette!
Authored by: mike d.I forget the name of this move. It’s not quite a windmill, because the dancer is touching his torso to the ground… anyone?
