I just got back from Kentucky/West Virginia. it was one of the most trying journey’s of my existance so far. As of yesterday morning, all was well. I arrived Tuesday night and stayed in an ENORMOUS king sized bed. Had an average sleep, woke up and went to our customer’s site at 8. And the meeting ended well at 10am.
The problem was that our plane didn’t leave Charleston until 7pm. That’s 9 hrs of waiting death.
9 hrs.
We drove around for a bit and went to the capital for an hour or so, but the pouring rain made it less exciting. We went to get some lunch and around 2 we went to the airport where we waited for 5 hrs. Then 4 more hours of air travel after that. After an hour in the air I started feeling ill.
the only good thing was that I read more than 500 pages of Atlas Shrugged.
On an entirely different happier note, here’s a picture of H.C.alicia and I at a swimming hole in CT this past weekend. for more fun swimming places try here.
Where in CT is this swimming hole? It looks a bit more interesting then Miller’s Pond (although Miller’s Pond has some perks)!
This swimming hole is a brook. Mount Hope Brook to be exact. It’s located near hartford in Willimantic/mansfield. heh. mansfield.
there are directions on the website. I recommend checking it out, it’s a beautiful area.
Where is this ‘millers pond’ of which you speak?
Miller’s Pond is just south of Middletown. About six miles from my house. There is a big cliff to jump off of and a trail around it. If you can ignore the kids on the main “beach” then it is overall a nice spot.
