Indianapolis and a plea for horn players

Bam! Off to Indianapolis.

This trip is going to be notably more annoying than my last because I am not taking the company plane. Nope, I am taking Continental through Cleveland. Here’s the weird thing: last week the flight direct to Cleveland cost $1000. Now, for $200 I’m traveling through Cleveland to Indianapolis. This irks me endlessly. I just find it illogical.

In other news, I’ve been playing a lot of music with the guys. We’ve been playing a wide spread of tunes like:

What kind of woman is this? – Buddy Guy
Miss You – The Rolling Stones
Modern Guilt – Beck
Waiting room – fugazi
Canned Heat – Jamiroquai

But we need horns. I have my fingers crossed for a few sax players, but it’s all still up in the air. If you know any rockin horn players in CT who are interested in joining a band, let me know!!

I think you should broaden your search to those that can rock the mouth trumpet. I just saw Victoria Vox in Maryland and she does a fake trumpet with just her mouth. Check it out on the Tugboat song: http://www.victoriavox.com/voxukulelecello
    It was a crowd-pleaser.

Oh man, a trumpet would be amazing!! Or a trombone? A trombone would explode me World!

In fact a trumpet impersonator like Victoria Vox would be awesome too.

That happened to me recently too. Directly traveling to Atlanta cost me 2x more than travelling to Miami through Atlanta. That stuff really grinds my gears.

Man, I would get the old trumpet shipped up if I was there. Of course, used to be decent probably doesn’t mean I’d be good a decade later, but it’d probably come back quick…
