Hello good readers.
Next Monday shall start 31 days of photography here on MikeDiDonato.com. What makes this all the more exciting is that seven of my friends have agreed to participate as well: Jon Abad, Eileen, Ben, Mika, Pete, Vivienne, and Cam!
The only two rules:
1. Post a picture on your blog every day in August.
2. The picture must have been taken within the previous 24 hours of the posting time.
Maybe hugely artistic pictures will come of our efforts! And certainly there will be days where we take terrible pictures too!! But you know what? it’s something different and something to make our lives a little more interesting and memorable. If this project interests you, I encourage you to join us! I think it could be pretty fun. I’ll be posting the web addresses of my friends who are participating in order to spread the community of photography. You can sign up to their RSS feeds and everyone can marvel at the wealth of photographs! If you e-mail me letting me know that you’d like to participate before Friday, I’ll make sure your blog is mentioned in the mix. You can e-mail me at: MikeDiDonato AT gmail D0T com.
Get pumped for photographs.
As someone who doesn’t have an address on the Blogosphere I would like to post my photos up on the Book of Faces. I’ll be posting links to the photos in his comments if MikeD doesn’t have a problem with it.
Kurt! There is no better time than now to sign up for a free blogging service! The only detriment to comment posting is that you won’t be able to jump on the RSS train. But if the idea of a blog bugs you, you are welcomed to post your submissions within the comments!
Yeah…I just don’t see the need of a blog for just one months of photos. I don’t know what this RSS train is you speak of…but if ‘The Internet’ might know of someway for me to get a ticket without setting up a blogging page I would be greatly appreciative.
Just sign up for tumblr. http://www.tumblr.com/
Kurt, +1 to tumblr.
You can get a tumblr client for your phone and post the pictures right from there if you want.
I am also planning to participate but don’t have a blog. Should I start one? Maybe you could help? Or I can send you my pics!
I am pro-blog… but I am also biased. I thought about letting people send me their pictures to post on my site but I worry a bit that the time required to format and such would end up being a significant sync on my own time.
Tumblr is a great blog option for those who are enthused. If not, feel free to post links in my comments sections. I think that idea is a pretty good one… though as mentioned in the comment string above – it does not let people join the RSS circle (RSS is a system that allows people to collect multiple posts into a single place. Directions on how to use it will be posted this weekend).
I’m just going to put up a blog on some free service this weekend to get going. Should be fun!
Alternatively, you all can start (free) Flickr accounts.
