Camera learnings.

As I journey through the trials and tribulations that accompany first time camera ownership, I find I generally learn through mistakes. Camera mistakes are especially entertaining because by definition, you’re documenting the whole learning process. The diagonal pictures are, of course, one example. But during Sarah and my trip to the painted hills, I had a second learning experience.

I was trying to setup a delayed photo. The camera lets you set a variable for delayed photographs. My assumption was that this variable was the actual delay. I set it at 8 and then booked it over to the bench with Sarah. Apparently, that wasn’t the delay in seconds so much as the number of pictures to take.

And thus I present to you an animated Gif showing the one desired picture and seven pictures of me racing to figure out why my camera is clicking incessantly.

whoa animation
Also, I need to buy a tripod to reduce grass-age.

You should do more intentional animated gifs. This was fun. (How do you make an animated gif, anyway)

There are a few websites that will do it for you. I think I searched for “Make animated gifs” and one of the top five google results was a free gif generator.

A’int nothing like gifs to make websites classy. I’ll include more in the future.
