Where’d you find this? And whew? DC has gotten two storms over 12″ this year. That hasn’t happened in quite a while here in CT. Winter means snow. Dead brown sticks and cold weather sucks. Snow makes winter fun.

I am also super bummed that New England missed out on this huge storm. I want more snow! Although luckily we have a bit of a dusting on the ground up in MA where I live.

Perhaps I’m a winter scrooge, but I prefer warmer winters with as little snow as possible. Since I don’t ski, shoveling and poor driving conditions are my only associations with winter wonderlands.

The picture (and title) were taken from Universe Today. It’s a great website with regular science, usually space related, updates. I probably should have linked to them in the post, thanks for your inquiry.

Mmhmm! Portland is sunny and 55 and has been for a good week. The bulbs are already blooming. High five for the PNW, Patrick!

Ooooh snow snow snow. I’ve had the week off of school because B’more has been insanely snowy. Have to say, I love seeing all this snow! I feel very nostalgic for home in Boston! BUT, its wild how poorly prepared this city is for snow. In Boston, you hear plows all night. In Baltimore, you hear one a day (if you’re lucky!!)
