Mom D. introduced me to Wordle.net. It’s an application that takes pasted (or retrieved) text and arranges it automatically into cool art.
For example, I took all of the text on my website and pasted it in. This was the first result (click on it to see the full version)
As my mother noted, this would make for a super easy t-shirt design technique.
Thanks Mom D!
My friend Nina wrote a Ruby program to build these into PDFs! http://github.com/ninajansen/cloud
Notice how Mike is the fattest out of everyone listed on the list….I’m just saying.
Ryan, how does a normal person use that program, or is it a secret code only superheros know? The history teacher who showed me wordle actually said, “I wonder if there is a way to make this into a PDF…”
Hi Mom D, it’s not really a “normal person program” in the sense that it does not have a graphical interface (buttons that you can click on) or anything like that.
If you have a Mac or Linux, it will be very, very easy for me to help you get this running.
If you have Windows…well, you need to be a superhero.
Rats. SHS has Windows.
Superhero to the rescue!
Wordle’s instructions to make it into a PDF match what I would do.

Wow, JonAbad. You are a True Superhero ( not that Ryan isn’t – note his dazzling online directions explanation) . I will pass that info on. SHS and I thank you.
