I am currently traveling for work, in fact when this posts I should be in the air.
This morning my flight left Hartford at 6:30am to Charlotte, NC where I connect on a second plane to Akron, Canton. I’ll be there for a day and then I’m headed south to Shreveport, Louisiana. I’ve never been to Louisiana, so I’m excited to add another state to my list. This is especially exciting, because after this trip I will have been to half of the states in the US.
50% Yes!
Here’s the pictorial status:
Awesome.
Two words for you: road trip.
Heck, even make it a rock climbing trip if you want to make it more interesting, as you’re missing out on the most topographically interesting chunk of the US of A.
Or, you could just fly into MSP, figure out the most efficient way to hit up all of the states, rent a car and drive it to San Diego and knock off that huuuuuge chunk of awesomeness.
Dude I’m almost positive you’ve been to Pennsylvania.
30 for me!
43 for me!!!! oh snap!
Ha, I’ve been to 26. What are the odds?
You really have never been to Pennsylvania? How long would that take to drive from Meriden, two hours?
Sounds like a good excuse for a roadtrip to grab a Philly cheesesteak (from both Pat’s and Geno’s) some weekend…
I am of course kidding.
I have BEEN to Pennsylvania with Mike D.
More than once.
Been to all 50. (snappity snap!)
Hawaii was indeed Five-O, in April 2008.
I was actually in PA earlier this month as I had a layover in Philly. But, I don’t count layovers in my stats, so the last time I officially visited PA was in 1998.
Mike D and I don’t count layovers either.
Otherwise there’d be a few more on there.
Some people require a night’s sleep in a state for it to count. If that’s the case, I’d have to subtract:
Iowa (several events there, but always drove through or back home to KC).
South Dakota (saw all of the sights, but stayed in NE and WY)
Maine (did some hiking and sightseeing, but stayed in NH)
Maryland (saw Baltimore, stayed elsewhere)
Delaware (went to the beach, stayed elsewhere)
Indiana (driven through many times)
Rhode Island (went to the beach, stayed in CT)
Louisiana (vacationed to N’awlins, but stayed in MS. MS is a weird one. I’ve stayed there just outside of Memphis, too. I think I’ve spent 4 nights in Mississippi, but never really seen much of it.)
And also DC (been twice, stayed in VA both times)
oh yeah. Pittsburgh. I forgot about those trips entirely.
that was dumb.
Yeah, a LOT of mine were on huge road trips. My criteria was that I had to actually do more than stop at a gas station or use a bathroom or eat at a fast food joint, like see a sight or something.
So Dak is still green? You can change that, easy. June, 2010.
NICE.
