Apparently it was the first species to receive a pacemaker, too – could heart problems be a result of stupid names?!
There is also Gorilla beringei beringei, and depending on which classification you’re trying to use, Gorilla gorilla beringei and/or Gorilla beringei gorilla as they attempt to resolve the different names
There’s also a sea sponge out there that has, I believe, over 60 valid scientific names…
That may top Buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.
