Countdown to Ukraine

Well good friends, my trip to Ukraine was approved by my company’s management. That means that this Saturday at 5:30pm I will fly out of Logan airport on Air France on my way to an extremely remote corner of this planet. I’ll try and post more information tomorrow. The exciting news is that I’m going to be so full of fun information for posts when I return. The sad news is that I will be pretty much off the charts until January 6th so there may be a longish break of posts here at MikeDiDonato.com.

There are still a bunch of folks with posting power so don’t delete me from your Google Reader just yet. And when I return I promise a wealth of stunning stories of freezing adventure.

Your use of the phrase extremely remote seems inappropriate for a trip to Ukraine. Are you traveling to a remote part of Ukraine? Relative to Logan, I’d say the Falkland Islands are extremely remote. Or Palau. Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas William! It is, indeed, a remote corner of Ukraine. I’ll be posting more about the location automatically next week. Stay tuned!

You know, from that last picture you posted, it looks a lot like Wisconsin. Have fun.

As close an approximation as I can make in English characters: “kharoshoe schastee”
Yeah, bet you didn’t know that about me. (That I’m barely fluent in Russian ;-D)
All the best Mike D.! Eat a Berratta Salami for me!

Have a great trip D! Can’t wait to hear all about it! I am not at all fluent in Russian, though I am 1/4 Ukrainian. That’s really all I’ve got. Stay warm and enjoy lots of snow of potatoes!
