Last night Sander and I hit Pittsburgh like it was our job (…)
We went into a section of town called, no lie, Shadyside. It’s actually a pretty neat college-y area near Pittsburgh. We ate at Casbah. Prognosis? Totally delicious.
I got the black pepper parpardelle and Sander got a lamb dish. They were both out of this world. Pricey? yes. Entrees went from 25 to 37 dollars a piece with appetizers in the 7-9 dollar range. The ambiance was nice, though there wasn’t enough lighting. It was almost difficult to read the menu.
After dinner we drove around a little bit in Pittsburgh and then returned to our hotel. Today we have meetings until about 11am then it’s off to the airport for the return flight.
Enjoy your weekend Team D!
Did you “rock the casbah?” HAHAHAHA….ok I’m done.
pittsburgh is interesting. My father grew up right outside, so i’ve been many atime. I’d give you some more places to check out if you had more time, but i wouldn’t necessarily be upset that they were missed due to an early departure. I hope you had a safe flight.
I’m glad you liked Shadyside. I totally should have told you about the Strip District – there are a couple cool places there too – Sushi, a bar called Valhalla…
Supposing I took my friend Shareef to Casbah. Do you think he would like it?
Before or after the bombs were dropped between the minarets?
Dear Shawn – that song is terrible and you are lame.
Casbah the restaurant, however, was awesome in every way.
Love,
Sander
Dear Liz,
Thanks for your good wishes, but we did not have a safe flight – about 10 minutes after the flight attendant dove out the emergency exit, the badgers figured out how to open the overhead compartments from the inside – and let me tell you, badgers do NOT take kindly to a 600mph vertical dive with wind blowing around the cabin. They clawed Mike D’s face off! He asked me to tell everybody he might not be posting for a while until the bandages come off.
Yikes!
Regretably yours,
Sander
Sanders,
Are you allowed to waste water at home or are you forced to conserve every last drop of it?
truly, LOL
I don’t get it.
