Friend Jess is headed to Ukraine to spread some SERIOUS peace. I’m hoping I’ll be able to take a Business trip over there during her stay so I can
a) be witness to amazing things like Chernobyl.
b) have close travels to neighboring countries like Turkey
Jess has been studying Cyrillic. Yesterday she shared this gem with me:
Ñ Ð±ÑƒÐ´Ñ‹ оригиналом иÑкуÑÑтво. заднÑÑ
Literally, it translates to:
“I will be the martial original skill. Don’t mess with me”
It was the closest she could get to: “I know kung fu. Watch out.”
I took Russian 101 in college because someday I hope to go back to where my dad is from (Estonia) and I knew that some Russian would come in handy. Unfortunately, the only things I remember are how to say are “Cheers” and the days of the week song.
I’m glad Chris T doesn’t remember his Russian because he would probably find out that my Russian is quite poor indeed.
