This was just to Easy, that I typed it all out then decided not to post it. But I will ask a question all my own.

Has there been anyone other than Peter Parker to be Spider-Man?

There have been a couple clone sagas in Spider-man Comics. One in the mid-70’s and one in the mid-90’s. I know the one in the mid-90’s, the clone does take the Spidey helm for an issue or two (but it’s a clone, so it’s Peter Parker, but not really).

Other than those storylines, I can’t think of anyone else trying to wear the uniform. Anyone else?

I’ve only watched the movies, and only once each. I remember a couple of the X-Men though.

    1. Wolverine
    2. Cyclops
    3. Storm
    7. Magneto(sp?)

I was pretty much just thinking specifically of the clone, but unless Paul knows of anything else we don’t know, I guess thats it. Since you answered my question, I’ll answer your now!

    Wolverine
    Cyclops
    Storm
    Gambit
    Angel (Archangel later on)
    Nightcrawler
    Magneto
Honestly can’t think of this one of hand. you got me stumped!
    Quicksilver
    Shadow Cat

Could you count that guy in Spiderman 3, the one with the scary teeth? He wairs a black spidey suit, and everyone thinks its him for a short period of time!

Topher Grace aka Eddie Brock aka Venom takes Spider-Man’s discarded black alien suit in the movie as in the comics, but Venom isn’t trying to be Spider-Man.

Often in comics, superheroes take a vacation or die, and another person needs to take their place to fill the void. The character of the Flash is the best example since he’s had multiple people assuming the role of this hero: Jay Garrick, Bart Allen and Wally West. So, that’s how I took the question.

There was one I can think of….though I hate even mentioning it because they were involved with the 2 of the worst stories I’ve read in Spidey ( The Gathering of Five and The Final Chapter, right before they decided to restart the numbering of Amazing form 440+ back to #1).

Her name was Mattie Franklin. The gathering of five was some stupid voodoo thing that gave 5 people 3 gifts and 2 curses (immorality, death, insanity, power, and wisdom). Norman Osborn gets insanity and Mattie Franklin, who took her dad’s place in the ritual was given power. And the end of The Final Crapter Spidey “quits for good”. So she, being a huge spidey fan, uses her knewly found power in the next few issues in Spidey’s uniform and takes his place until she, being a total noob, gets her butt kicked. Parker is ironically at the scene, takes her uniform and returns as Spider-man, and she then becomes the 3rd Spider-woman.

But, is she assuming the role of Spider-Man? I mean, since she’s in the comics, I’m presuming she is endowing with DD breasts – so I doubt she could pull off Spider-Man…
