Without looking on the internet for answers, what do you think the difference is between Liberty and Freedom?
Where you stand.
You know I think they’re totally synonymous. Both “liberty” and “freedom” are the ability to act how you see fit, unrestrained. I feel the Latin root liber is translated as “free”. I think the English words “freedom, free” are from some Germanic root (the word is die Freiheit, frei in German, which generally lacks Latin roots).
So, pretty much word origin.
