Rhino Baboon.

Few creatures could stand up to the navigational skills of a baboon and the sheer brutality of a Rhino. This team would DECIMATE the giraffe cobra team. Why? While the giraffe and cobra have an amazing striking distance, it’s near impossible to pierce the armor like skin of a Rhino. It’s 5mm THICK! Sure, the baboon might fall to the strike of the cobra, but no Giraffe could stay upright against the thundering force of a charging Rhino.

No contest.

Ok, the rhino is good choice of base. It’s big, and it’s got tough skin, and it has a big horn and good speed.

But the baboon? If you want navigational smarts and opposable thumbs, just get a human. If I’m a tiger riding an elephant, I am not scared by this team.

In fact, if this were sort sort of tournament, and giraffe/cobra played rhino/baboon, I think you’d see the rhino rather have the cobra, and the cobra rather have the rhino. The cobra would bite the giraffe and the baboon, and the rhino/cobra team would keep playing.

I’d like to see a crocodile take on that rhino. Maybe a cobra/croc team.

The croc is at a disadvantage on land. An elephant/rhino can move faster, and either are heavy enough that they could just flop on the croc and pin it, allowing the tiger to claw/bite through the softer underbelly of the croc.

Do elephants and rhinos flop while in battle? I don’t think that’s likely at all. They would instinctively try to stay on their feet. Meanwhile, the croc could catch a foot. Maybe disable the elephant one leg at a time while the cobra attacked the tiger.
