Roommates.

How many people have you shared an apartment or residence with? It’s considered a full share if it is your primary residence for at least 7 weeks.

Me? 24 I think.

    Family/extended family – 6
    College – 6
    Post College – 5

    Grand total: 17

I guess if you were counting living with the same person at multiple times it would raise my number a little. For example, I lived with my friend Jen in college, then in a new place with her after college, and currently she is living with me again in a different place.

How many different residencies have people had?

Fun question! It gets interesting when you consider the distinction between roommates, suitemates, and housemates. For college roommates, a # denotes one semester where we shared a bedroom. A * denotes a semester where she shared living spaces (kitchen/bathroom/living room). In Australia, 10 of us shared a flat with 10 individual bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a large kitchen/living space.

    Family:
    Mom
    Dad

    College (Kansas, 9 semesters):
    Joe J ##
    David **
    Jose #**
    Chris *
    Thomas *
    Eric ##
    Matt **
    Ryan **
    Sean **
    Peter **

    College (Australia, 1 semester):
    Paul *
    Ayako *
    Karla *
    Samara *
    Kurt *
    Andreas *
    Catherine *
    Tegan *
    Amanda *

    Post-College
    Joe (61 weeks, current)
    Matt (57 weeks, current)

    That’s a total of 23 for me.

I don’t remember putting a minus sign, but it is true that she moved out of our suite possibly before the 7 week cutoff point

KURT – I’m glad you put Theresa (the vegetarian). That designation helped me distinguish who exactly you were talking about. My first thought was, huh? Did I live with Kurt? How come I don’t remember this? And then I saw the veggie info and I was like OOOOHHHH, that’s not me.
