Kurt got a dog! It’s a beagle pug mix and is named Roxy.
Ben got a Rocking Chair! He reports that all he needs now is a porch and a shotgun.
I got a Dining Room Table! My folks brought me to IKEA on Saturday. The table expands.
Schenk got a helmet! It’s got the same density as water… so he won’t be weighed down or pulled up during major water crashes.
What have you bought recently?
I think the technical term for the beagle/pug mix is called a “puggle”.
Thermoworks thermapen. Grilling has never been better. This is the best kitchen purchase I’ve made since we got a cast iron skillet. I LOVE it.

Recent Purchases: (within two weeks)
8’3″ x 11′ Persian rug (with non-slip pad)
Orienteering thumb compass (which I already broke)
Heart monitor watch (with chest strap)
10 pairs of knee-high socks (2 of which arrived in the wrong color)
You….mail ordered socks? Why?
Oh, that’s going on my Christmas list.
And cast iron is amazing.
I, personally, haven’t bought anything recently; but my husband brought home a PC Gaming Chair yesterday. It’s his new computer chair. This is what he bought:

Holy Star Trek!
That’s very similar to my reaction when I first saw it. But the wheels are really cool.
I agree. Are they Roller Blade wheels?
They kinda look like roller blade wheels, but I don’t think my husband would appreciate it if I took the chair out for a spin, so I guess I won’t find out.
That’s neat… but I’ve always had a soft spot for infrared thermometers…
Why touch the food at all?!?
This is the wave of the future!

The guy in the cube next to me has one of these for work, if I get laid off soon(likely) it’s going to find itself in a new non-corporate home!
I run in knee-high socks when orienteering, so they have a short life cycle. I also prefer them to be acrylic athletic socks (as opposed to “soccer” socks which are different). Also, I need the socks to go along with my orienteering club’s colors.
I’ve been to several sporting goods stores before, and bought a few pairs here and there, but are usually limited to just soccer socks, and sometimes not in my size, with few color options.
I found a good sale on exactly the socks I needed (type, size, and colors), so I got a bunch. What’s wrong with that?
The most expensive pair of shoes I’ve ever bought:

Although I’ve never tried their shoes, I’ve had a north face fleece and backpack since 10th grade, and both have held up extremely well.
Yeah I’ve always been pretty impressed with how well designed/put together TNF stuff is and I own quite a lot of stuff by them now (tent, ski jacket & pants, shoes, fleece, trousers).
