Travel Rocks!

Despite some tickets (3 tickets on different airlines), I didn’t get home last night. And somehow, both of my business colleagues are on a direct flight to Hartford right now and my flight doesn’t take off for another two hours and has layovers through every city in the central time zone.

It sounds like time for some Fun vs. Funk.

Yeah!

Funk: I won’t be home in time for Kung Fu
Fun: Extra Holiday Inn points.
Funk: Extra day in Texas.
Fun: I got some free shaving cream at the hotel
Funk: My bags are in Detroit
Fun: I got to chat with the company big wigs over dinner
Funk: 12 more hours of travel are in my immediate future

Ahh well. Thankfully the airport process is seamless. So I’m all but guaranteed to get home today without any problems whatsoever.

Even thinking that that situation calls for a “fun vs. funk” is a testament to your optimism. I would be wallowing in a sea of self-pity.

I love “I got free shaving cream.” I’m picturing you standing at the mirror shaving with the widest grin ever. Every thirty seconds, you exclaim “yaaaaay!”

I don’t think that the fun of free shaving cream can balance the funk of an extra day in Texas

Tomorrow, perhaps I’ll throw a picture up of the sweetness that is that shaving cream. Gotta say… it’ll probably be enough to last me into 2008.

Supposing that shaving cream was not free, and assuming that your electricity was (both are true in my case) how many years would be required to make up the cost difference between an electric razor and a manual blade. This sounds like a job for S. McQuaid (when not on extended hiatus)

What about if you use an electric blade, but only once every two weeks?
