LIFO?

Ever notice that traffic, while it should be like the FIFO inventory system, is often times like the LIFO inventory system?

Take, for example, the frequent occurrence of a slow driver on a multi-lane road. If a line of cars get stuck behind Captain Slow* then it’s the guy in the back that gets to pass first. The others have to wait until everyone behind them gets through before they can make their move.

I find this unfortunate.

FIFO = First In First Out
LIFO = Last In First Out

The thing about a LIFO system is, while the order isn’t maintained after one stop-up, after two, it is returned to the original order. So everybody gets the good and the bad.
