Bummer Updates:
I’m feeling a bit sick today.
My final paper for Accounting is proving to be a fantastic nightmare.

Sweetness Updates:
New old AIM surveys may soon populate the Feature bar on the left.
The HoR is finally with a Realtor. I have great hopes we’ll sell it within a reasonable stretch of time.
Last night I played a scale cleanly on the guitar at 470 beats per minute! A personal best!

I have no idea what the scale thing is. Does it have anything to do with how much you weigh?

I really enjoyed the old AIM survey’s. You know what else I enjoyed. Ask Shaun McQuaid. I’m sure he has a few questions that need answering.

A scale is a progression of notes like in the Sound of Music “do re me fa so la ti do!”

I’ve been practicing at 400 beats per minute for awhile now, with up and down strokes. The down stroke being at a pace of 200.

There are five different scale alternatives for a major scale. I was alternating between them, but really I feel most confident with the standard “do re mi fa so la ti do” so I decided to bump up my metronome and see how fast I could go and still keep it clean.

I got my metronome up to 235 before stumbling. Since I’m doing an up and down stroke for each beat, that comes up to a whopping 470 beats per minute.

If I could get to 240 on all five of the scales, I’d feel masterful.

Here are the words I understand in that post you just did mikeD.

Like, Sound of Music (how doesn’t like a good musical), Beats, up and down, Metronome and Whopping. Please explain the rest in language I understand a little bit better.

I think this might work better:

Doing what I did is the musical equivalent of eating a half pound bacon cheeseburger in 30 seconds. It’s not entirely unfeasible, but it takes practice and the accomplishment should be celebrated.

I’ll respond with one of my favorite poems:
    —————————————–

A man said to the universe:
    “Sir I exist!”
    “However,” replied the universe,
“The fact has not created in me
    A sense of obligation.”

Thanks! I can eat a bacon cheeseburger in 60 seconds on the downstroke, but it only takes like 10 seconds for the upstroke.
