MSPaint CONTEST!

The Challenge was simple: Using only MSPaint (or mac equivalent) draw a scene with the following theme:

Bad Things to Juggle

I received 7 strong entries. Check ’em out!

Juggle 1: Simple, elegant. And extremely true.

Juggle 2: Caution: sharp. Leather gloves recommended.

Juggle 3: That would be Fran Drescher.

Juggle 4: The situation will change dramatically if the animals are alive or dead.

Juggle 5: Not recommended. Children will likely die.

Juggle 6: Hey God! Cut it out!

Juggle 7: More children will probably die.

Now it’s your job to vote for the best.

Vote for:
1. Your favorite
2. The Funniest
3. The most Inane

You can’t vote for your own.

Favorite: #6 Besides being extrememly well drawn, the concept is creative.
Funniest: #4 I like how the artist sets up the event, but what happens next is completely up to the viewer to decide. I think the dinos leave the poor guy alone and turn on each other.
Inane: #2 I love how the porcupine actually looks sad.

Favorite: #6, it’s amazingly well drawn.
Funniest: #5, I actually laughed out loud at this.
Most Inane: tie between #3 and #4, I’m leaning toward 3.

Question: how many people actually know what the word “inane” means? I looked it up to be sure and I have been using it correctly.

perhaps ‘inane’ is an east coast word. It’s hardly used every day, but I wouldn’t say it’s entirely uncommon.

I’d heard it before. I’d even used it before. Inane conversations and inane arguments come to mind. From time to time I look up words I commonly use just to make sure I’m using them correctly.

I can use words correctly without knowing the exact definition, just by picking up on the context. I’ve run into this quite a bit when the kids ask me what a words means. I know it’s the right word, but I can’t define it. Thank goodness for the Miriam-Webster site. Now even I can know what I’m talking about. :)

But that doesn’t mean anyone else knows what you’re talking about. ;o)

I have the same issue with my husband as you have with your kids.

Jes Saint, if I didn’t know better I might think you worked for Merriam-Webster.

I have a really hilarious image in my head of a clown running around burning from foolishly juggling acid.
    Inane: #3
    What? Perfectly inane.

So would that be the entry or just the resultant image in your head that gets the vote of funniest?
