Back in Texas

So I’m back in JonAbad’s stomping ground. Texas has been surgically inserting itself into my life again and again. This is a very odd thing. Texas is a state that I really never expected to get to know. But sure enough, I’m becoming familiar with driving around this state and recognizing landmarks.

At this point, Texas may claim the number three spot of “state in which I’ve spent the most time,” with CT at number two and MA dominating first place with a 20-21 year lead.

This week will be a little wild. I have a decent amount of work to do in Houston. I leave Wednesday morning to return to CT just in time for my advanced dynamics final. Awesome! Then it’s homework and kung fu through Saturday afternoon when I will be able to relax a bit and head up for an authentic McQuaid Christmas gathering. good times will be had.

I don’t recall the last time I saw Mr. McQuaid. has it been over a year?

I think you are correct – over a year. Madness.

    Kansas: 13 years
    Missouri: 9 years
    Washington: 2 years
    Spain: 1 year
    Australia: 0.5 year

After that… I dunno. Colorado and New Mexico are probably a good guesses for the next states on the list. France and New Zealand are probably the next countries.

You two saw each other in Falmouth this summer. But still, it has been a long time.

Yes. There was a McQuaid-DiDonato encounter at my apartment in Woods Hole this summer.
