Loud music and Mountain Dew, which, coincidentally, I’m doing both right now.

Having something physically repetitive to do definitely works. That’s why I think eating works. Alternatives could be juggling, biking, shelling peas, etc.

Being full makes me feel drowsy so I’m not sure this would work for me.

We Americans don’t get ‘full’. Our bodies have evolved to the point where we can immediately absorb sugars, trans fats, and saturated fats into our blood stream and cart them off to convenient storage places (like the thighs!) to allow our stomach plenty of space for more consumption.

Some of us are more highly evolved than others. Sander doesn’t even have to EAT the food in order to obtain its fat. He can absorb it through his skin.

I may have to try your methods Tim Baird. I’ve run out of food.

You wouldn’t last 3 months in North Dakota with that attitude, young man.

Whoah, that was weird. I think my mom took control of my hands for a minute there.

My husband likes to talk about how he has a “dessert compartment”. There’s a supper compartment and a dessert compartment. He has to eat quite a lot to be full of supper and still turn down dessert.

Yes! Growing up my bro, sis and I used to always try and pull the “dessert compartment” card in response to our parents saying we couldn’t have dessert until we finished our dinner. “but mom, the dinner compartment is full! This spot here, this is where we’ll put the dessert! It’s not filled yet.”
