Butterfly hands!

Now usually when one thinks about Butterflies, images of delicate colorful peaceful creatures come into mind. Some see the butterfly as ‘a symbol of the ephemeral nature of physical existence.’*1 A butterfly can also be the symbol of a woman’s delicacy.

How then can a kung fu move called ‘the butterfly hands takedown’ be so brutally destructive?

I learned this take down on Saturday and it is not delicate nor peaceful. Instead it whips the victim onto his or her back through a violent arm twisting motion.

It’s extremely effective.

    Interesting.

I did a little more research as well and apparently the Irish thought that you shouldn’t kill white butterflies because they were the souls of dead children.

    Talk about creepy!

In my further research I found that the Monarch Butterfly is the Most Hardcore Butterfly ever. it eats poison. Thats right. it eats milkweed leaves then use the poison as their own defense. And the Monarchs defense mechanism isn’t stupid little “eyeballs” on its wings or camaflauge (spelling?). its a poisonous creature. It says, “go ahead an eat me Mr. Bird. Cause if you do I’ll come back from the grave and kill you with my Poisonous blood!” I wish I was poisonous so when I’m killed by a pack of roving wolverines, I can have my revenge on them with my Vile Venomous Viscera©.

Women, like butterflies, are stronger and more dangerous than they seem. Men have a tendency to have some standards when it comes to fighting. Women can be vicious, vitriolic demons.

So remember, gentlemen, just because it’s pretty doesn’t mean it won’t kill you–or at least make you wish you were dead.

Women, also like butterflies, get crushed when you smash into them with your Volvo.

Anita’s got a good point there: Butterflies are deceptively dangerous.
Too many times I’ve taken the graceful beauty of butterflies for granted.. they lull you into a false sense of security and then before you know it BAM a Red-Spotted Admiral eats your cat.

    WHYYYYYYY!!!!!!
Curse you, majestic hexapod terrors of the sky!

Butterflies sure don’t fight with any standards.
Just the other day I saw one kick my senator right in the jewels. DIE DEMON!

How big was this cat? Don’t blame me, I was merely adding to Mike D’s little simile there. Love “majestic hexapod terrors of the sky” but aren’t you forgetting that the are also frequently found on flowers? Flowers too can be deceptively dangerous.
