Werther’s Original Coffee Flavored

Awhile ago, I posted a post about Werther’s Original Coffee Flavored Hard Candy. I had tried one, and it was delicious. Recently, I’ve received a few e-mails from people across our Nation asking where I had found these. They too had tasted the candy gold and had searched to find no additional sources of the candy.

Werther’s website? No dice! There’s no information on the Coffee flavored gem.

Stop & Shop and ShopRite trips also proved fruitless. Candy eisles everywhere were leaving me disappointed.

So I called up Storck. Storck is the parent company to Werther’s and their U.S. location is in Chicago, IL. I spoke to a woman named Debbie. our conversation went something like this:

mike d: Good morning Debbie. I have a question about the Werther’s Original Candy.
Debbie: ok, what’s your question?
mike d: I believe I tried a werther’s original that was coffee flavored–
Debbie: yes.
mike d: They exist?
Debbie: yes they do.
mike d: Where can I find them?

She then passed me on to a woman named Linda who worked at the New England distribution center. She’s going to get back to me next week with more information.

If you yourself are interested in finding the coffee flavored werther’s original candy, feel free to call up the U.S. office in Chicago. Tell them that Mike D. sent you, and that you’re looking for local distribution information for the coffee flavored werther’s original candy.

Interesting. You should see if you can buy them in bulk. That way you don’t have to shop for them as often.

Mike D., do you have any suggestions for getting a decent pizza chain to move into one’s area?

What’s wrong with Pizza Hut? The service may suck, but the pizza is still good. Oh, and you should try DiGiorno.

What’s wrong with Pizza Hut is lack of consistency. Actually the service isn’t a problem at ours, only at yours.

Papa Murphy’s is the bomb. I can’t wait for it to catch on out here in the east.

Using their store locator, the closest one to Connecticut is in Youngstown, OH.

I just phoned the number that was listed above and told that I must speak with Michael Phillips… so I did. He informed me that the Coffee flavor Werther’s Original candies were being sold at Walgreens, CVS (previously known as Osco) and Rite-aid drugstores. I’m going to check one, two or all three in my area today so I hope this proves successful in locating the candies we are all now craving!

I don’t drink coffee for health reasons. I am a Mormon. So, I want to know if the coffee flavoring is just a flavor or it is derived from real coffee. If the candy is made from real coffee, I will stop eating them, even though they are delicious!

    Please respond privately via email.

Are those two statements separate thoughts or is being a Mormon considered a health issue?

    Please enlighten me.

I think it’s common for Mormons to avoid stimulants like caffeine. So the two statements do help explain that Mr. Jensen is not, say, allergic to coffee beans but instead is trying to avoid unnatural power-ups.

    Thanks MikeD…

However, apparently either my attempt to make fun of Mormons slipped right past you, or you chose to ignore that and answer as if I was actually looking for enlightenment. :-P

Have you tried Balis Best. I bought some for my coffe cravings while sitting in a tree (watching deer) and it is wonderfull. I am now starting my internet search for it since the local grocery store that had it in november now says they obtained it at a speicialy food convention and would look into obtaining more. I can not wait, I have a terminal cancer patient who loved coffee and is unable to swallow and I would like to provide her with the taste of coffee so I will look for the Werthers if I can not find the Balis

Colombina Coffee Delight hard candies are delicious. Made in Colombia, but you can order them off Amazon or from Metro Candy. I just finished handing out and eating a bag of these that I picked up in Colombia and I am disappointed I don’t have any more. They are somewhat addicting!
