I will attack this to-do list with a chainsaw of ambition!

REMINDER: MSPaint drawings due today at noon EST!

This morning I had a surge of ambition. I’m not sure where it came from, but I think it has something to do with Hacky sack.

Last night was really strange. Jesse and I checked out another house in our quest to own all of Connecticut. This prize was a boxy 2000 sq footer with two units. Everything was looking great until we entered the basement.

The basement was only about five feet tall. So we crouched our way into its depths. It had a half brick half dirt floor and was in moderate disrepair. There was only one light in the corner, so we used Jesse’s keychain flashlight to find our way around. In the center of the basement there was a well. ?. That’s right. There’s a well in the basement. 10-15 feet deep with water at the bottom. Little cobble stones around it in a circle… it’s got everything except the bucket on a rope. My first reaction was: “AWESOME! A WELL! If we buy a Brita we’ll have free water forever!! Do you hear me? FREE WATER.” but Jesse didn’t hear me. he was far more concerned with liability and Baby Jessica incidents.

Afterwards we hit up a bar in Middletown, I fired through kung fu and then returned to the House of Rock for guitar and social events, including an attempt with Jesse to beat Kurt and my record at back and forth hacky sack foot stalls.

Jesse and I got 13, I think Kurt and I had topped out at either 9 or 11.

It is that monster accomplishment, accompanied with the perfect sleeping weather, that I believe is responsbile for my ambition this morning.

NNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My record was beaten! We must destroy this usurper.
Also with a well you can be sure if that house is put under seige you will be golden! You hold out for months in a location that has clean water! Take that you filthy Barbarians!

I would be lying if I said that I didn’t take the potential for falling under seige into consideration.

If… no… WHEN society collapses, I’ll be the man you need to find. Not only because I’ll have an endless supply of water, but because I will very likely have a few years stockpile of canned baked beans.

That’s assuming that the beans actually get stored instead of just eaten and really, what are the odds of that?

    Tiny.
    That’s what.

I bet you can’t eat all the beans your store and Drink the well dry MikeD. I’ll give you $2.67 if you can.

Also is this well wide enough for you to crawl in? Cause on halloween you could get the basement all decked out like a cavern with a huge, and I mean HUGE, bowl of candy sitting right next to the well. Then when the kids get close to the well you or Jesse climb out slowly moaning dressed like a sea monster or a zombie. Man those kids would be scarred for life! if you can name a better way to influence a child to become a Monster Hunter I’d like to hear it!

Oh, I’d say so. It’s about two and a half feet in diameter. Easily enough space to hide and freak out children on Halloween.

    Easily.

This House’s basement puts the HoR basement to shame.

You would let your kids go into someone’s creepy basement to get candy??? Didn’t your mom ever tell you to stay out of people’s houses when trick-or-treating?
