Wind.

How am I suppose to rock out on the kiteboard when the wind forcast shows zero action for the weekend. What’s frustrating here is the sudden realization that I can’t plan kiteboarding trips. They happen or don’t happen depending on weather. This is, I believe, the first sport that I’ve tried that has been hugely dependent on nature. Rock climbing does to an extent, but there’s always the gym or the home bouldering wall. Kiteboarding gyms? hmm.

What a bummer!

UPDATE: Sunday… might be good wind. Keep your fingers crossed!

What you need is another activity in the same area that requires little to no wind, and averse weather doesn’t affect it. This is why a lot of mountain bikers (requiring dryer weather) often kayak as well (works well with wet weather). And why skiers (require mountains, snow, and hot chocolate) are rich.

Or be like me within hiking, where I go out regardless of weather and make the best of it. Hence why I have bragging rights of claiming to hike Mt. Washington in a thunderstorm by myself. Call me stupid, but it was still fun.

Excellent point Aaron…today wasn’t windy, so I spent the day getting mad at my bike at the skate park.

Dude, there was all kinds of wind at the Ultimate tournament this weekend. Unforunately wind + Ultimate doesn’t work so well…
