The Answer
It’s no joke. George Phillies is indeed seeking the office of President of the United States as a long-standing member of the Libertarian party. His main competition for the Libertarian nomination is Lance Brown, CEO for People’s Forums. His web site was recently updated and looks a lot more professional and serious than the original version released in April.

I never had the experience of Phillies at professor during my WPI education, so I don’t have any information on his teaching, but now we can find out everything we could ever dream about his Presidential platform. Brushed by fame, indeed.
as a registered member of the libertarian party i have to say… wha?
i really look forward to a day when a libertarian candidate that we can take seriously comes along. sigh.
i’d be willing to bet a large portion of this great land is neither republican or dem, but good old libertarian.
Libertarian candidates seem to follow the other parties as far as progression, they just don’t get elected to anything. Prof. Phillies has run for a senate seat for MA before, running for president is probably the next logical step.
Although working to get the Libertarian nomination for president is like racing to be first in line for an ice-cream stand that isn’t open.
