A perfect workshop

I think all men have an image of their perfect workshop. Outside of the epic amount of tools, mine has all sorts of space, a lot of natural lighting, and a clever central vacuum system. Think of a cathedral cieling living room minus the rug. Replace the couches with lathes and presses and the coffee table with an assembly table. No T.V. necessary, but a decent sound system is a must.

one of my co-workers informed me of a really great lathe that a friend is thinking of selling. If only I had a workshop to house it.

Mike, you have a ginormous garage… can’t you put it in there?

alas, the moisture in the garage could induce rusting.

This would be both sad and bad.

I might be able to snag you a lathe that converts into a drill press from Ruth’s grandpa

Go stainless steel and avoid that rust! My dad builds houses just so that he can have a workshop in each one of them, it’s pretty insane. The garage on our place in New Jersey just wasn’t good enough, so he built a 10 Car Garage using the tools he had, to house his tools and toys, including a compressed air lift.

obviously, the solution is to turn the garage from a fancy shed to a proper climate controlled garage with concrete floors and everything!
