Awesome phone skills.

Sometimes I fumble the last few words of a phone conversation. Just now I combined ‘take it easy’ with ‘have a good one’ coming out with: “Take a good one.”

Other classics have been “thanks great afternoon” and responding to “Thanks for calling” with “you too.”

There’s a word for Vocal dislexia… I can’t think of it off the top of my head. A little help?

You might be thinking of dysphasia (Impairment of speech and verbal comprehension) but its usually associated with brain injuries apparently.

Man, I totally do that too. Sometimes people don’t notice, but sometimes… sometimes they think I’m crazy. It would hurt except for the sneaking suspicion that they might be right.

Hahaha, yeah I do that some times too. I change my mind about what I want to say after I’ve already started saying the original phrase, so it comes out all mangled.

I don’t often mash two words into one, but I frequently respond with the wrong phrase. Like if I were buying a new bike and the cashier said “Enjoy your new bike!” I usually say something like “Thanks! You too!”

When you were looking for a word for this occurance, I immediatly thought of Spoonerisms. I’m not sure this is what you had in mind though.

I do this to waitresses and waiters all the time…

    “Enjoy Your Meal!”

    “Thanks, you too!”

Then I feel guilty because i know they don’t get to enjoy a meal right now.

Also, Indian Chicken Warp sounds astrophysically delicious.

How exactly do the Indians warp the chicken? Does this affect the taste vs. standard Indian chicken? Please explain.

I think that the Indian Chicken Warp might be a type of dance. Or it might be so delicious that it is eaten faster than the speed of light.

The way Mike eats, you’d think that he was breaking certain laws of physics. If you blink, you’ll miss it.
