gettin’ ill

Sunday evening we made the ham. A lot of ham. somewhere between 13 and 16 pounds of ham.

Sunday at 10pm I ate a lot of ham. Monday at 4am I got violently ill.

the events were probably independent of each other, but I still think I’m going to avoid ham for awhile.

And thus started the first illness of 2006. It’s been 8 years since partially digested food left my system via the intake. And unsurprisingly, the process is still completely miserable. Thankfully I had no problems sleeping. And sleep I did. Today I’m back up and moving about, though still not quite myself.

In seperate news, I think I’ve decided that 2006 is going to be the year of music.

For the record, the ham was delicious and no one else who ate it has had ill effects.
I add to the record, the fact that before eating the ham, MikeD ate many other things, including a weird “fig newton-ish” bar.

Fig Newtonish. Did it have fruit and cake? Cause if it didn’t then it wasn’t fig newtonish.

Well…..if its fig newtonish….then couldn’t it have some sort of paste type fruit. Like Strawberry newtons. They are fig newtonish. But then if you take fig paste and cram it into a cookie it is a fig cookie, which could be considered as well fig newtonish. Please elaborate on this.

well, it looks like a fig newton.
it is not a real fig newton though. it was homemade by someone in Mark’s family. There was a fruit and a cake involved and i do believe the fruit was fig.

it looks much darker than a real fig newton, almost like an evil fig newton

Also, did you notice how Mark walked in, laid the unopened package on the table and said to help yourself. He never ate one, maybe because he knew they were evil. Only MikeD had one and only MikeD is sick.

Here’s what we need to know:
    1. “ish”
    2. “Mark”

For the love of god don’t come near me Mike, you’ll kill us all!

    Yes!
    That’s right!

I will keep the evil figish newtons under observation, but do not dare to eat them.

I like the ham too much.

Strawberry Newtons, not only are a scourge, but are not fig newton-ish, they are fig newton-esque
