It’s so simple! Add some tasty delicious spices and such to some cottage cheese and turn out an amazingly tasty and yet still healthy appetizer.
This recipe came from Fanny Farmer and was an immediate hit.
Ingredients:
2C Cottage cheese
1T Vinegar
1T Parsley
1t Dried Basil (or 6-7 fresh leaves)
Instructions:
Mix together.
Results:
We had ours with Saltines, and it was amazing. I think this would be a sensation with any type cracker, perhaps even some raw veggies. oh yes. I think yes.
The vinegar really worked well with the cottage cheese, surprisingly so. we made a half recipe, but should have made the suggested size, because it was gone within moments of mixing.

Welcome back to the interweb, Mike!
Thanks Ben. I appreciate that.
Fanny Farmer owns.
Oh ok cool! Maybe I can actually write one every week now. You’re inspiring to me.
But Mike what kind of vinegar did you use!? I think I would go with cider vinegar. I think Tom and I have like 6 kinds now…
Good question! we used White vinegar. Great idea with the cider maybe I’ll try that tonight!
Our pantry has: Cider, Red, and White.
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to challenge that which is Tom&Mykal’s Pantry.
We love to collect the foodstuffs. You do have a respectable vinegar stash though, 3 kinds!
