sick day

I took my first ever sick day from work today. I’m a bit feverish with a nasty cough and headache.

Last night I woke up around 2am with a splitting headache. The weird thing was that for whatever reason, I felt like my headache was in the shape of a pirate’s hat. I turned over, to my clock and thought:

“with a headache like a pirate hat, there’s no way I can go to work.” and shut off my alarm.

So for the rest of the day I intend to nap and eat filling rations of foodstuffs. Unfortunately our refridgerator is shamefully empty. so I have to go to the food store first. I’ll be sure to buy some chicken soup.

    Get well soon, buddy!

I’ve never taken a sick day either. I prefer to go to work/school every day and make other people sick in the process…

Feel better buddy! It was a good move to take a sick day when you think your headache is like a pirate hat. Take some tylenol to get rid of the fever (and delusions!)

I’ve never been sick enough to call in sick. I did have to go home after half the day once. I had laryngitis and didn’t feel too cool. I yelled at a girl for doing something stupid. She was making a deposit, which we usually do, while we had cashiers in the room counting money. This girl was the product of laziness and I knew she was doing this to avoid helping the cashiers. So I yelled at her, cause I really have no paitence when I am sick, and sorta made her cry.

Feel better…at least it wasn’t a viking hat headache

And you are the reason that I (and everyone else in public health for that matter) have a job!

    Get well soon Mike D!

My advice is: Take 2 Ibuprofen and got to sleep for like half an hour and then you’ll wake up all cool and funky!

Pirate Hat Fever sounds like an 80s song. It should be a song.

Me, disliking my job as much as I do, I’ve taken 3 sick days… one because I was with captain schenk in the ER till way late, one because I had the worst cold in history and could barely breath, and one because I pretty much hate my job.

I have taken 7 sick days. I’ve been working for seven months. Granted I have to take sick days for doctors/dentists appts. Four of them were for getting my cavaties filled. The other three were for my migraines. Next time I have a migraine I’ll try to quantify it in the form of a hat. Maybe its one of those old style german helmets with the spike on the top. Except I put it on Spike first.

Since I’m assuming the pirate hat dream was caused subconsiously by all the piratey paintings last weekend, just be lucky you didn’t get feverish after the clown paintings! You would have awoken screaming about an evil clown with a machine gun!

I’ve never taken a sick day for myself. But I once took a personal day as a sick day for my bird. We watched TV and drank koolaid all day. Later, we went back to being man and bird and haven’t spoken of it since.

Other than the punctuation error, we’ve got a real problem here. Taking Tylenol to be RID of delusions? Have I taught you people nothing?

    Sweet jesus
