this needed to be said. man its pure coruption , the officials who talk about rebuilding the city,

the mayor has alot to personally lose if the city is deserted… and everything to gain if hes spearheading a movement to rebuild it… especially cause its not his money…. but he would be spending someones money… either think of it as the taxpayers or the citizens who were displaced… or the insurance companies…
on that note, why spend any government money, isnt this what insurance is all about? if we pay the bill for insurance companies… why have them? this is why they recieve that check everymonth for the past 50 yrs without any costs…

    Interesting fact:
the government is one of few providers of flood insurance. This is likely because most companies realize it’s a stupid thing to insure. Mainly because in the areas where flooding occurs, it will likely occur again and again and again.

I proudly support the abandoning of the New Orleans city. Those engineers that I have spoken to, all agree.

Good point on corruption. The country’s political system needs an overhaul. Perhaps we should start an engineers/academic revolution.
