a trying weekend

Sadly, I had a very difficult weekend. Things have been pretty stressful lately, and on top of it all I got into a car accident Friday. No one was hurt, and the Acclaim to Fame miraculously survived. But ugh. It was a solid punch in the gut, both emotionally and financially. Thankfully I got a lot of support from friends and fam. So I’m sending a special thanks out to Richter, both Alicias, and Tim. And also to my father, who, with a can of paint and a screwdriver, managed to bring back the physical hottness that is so well known to the Acclaim to Fame’s front end.

Thanks

This is accident #4 for that car, right? I gave it some mad damaged back in 2001. Weirdly, it was right near my first marathon, as is this accident for you.

Who thinks the Acclaim’s a hot car? Rally people, rally!

    4. The Rotary’s Revenge
    5. and New This Week! The Turn of Torture

Sorry to hear that MikeD. I’m sadened that you had a tough weekend. I am gladdened taht the acclaim has been saved. I am maddened that the other person cannot feel the wrath of the Ocelots. I’m fattened by the large amount of food I ate this weekend. I can’t think of anything else that rhymes like that. so I guess I’m done.

I’m glad to hear that nobody got hurt. And yes, the Acclaim to Fame is as sexy as they come.

Speaking of sexy autos, you should see the nubira with its new Thule Bike/Kayak rack on top ready
for summer adventuring. I’m pretty pumped about it.

Tim, unlike Kurt, I would like to see your beefed up car. The question must be asked, do you own a kayak?

Well, my family owns multiple kayaks and canoes that I have always used. However, after I return
from Hotlanta from FIRST nats, I will be purchasing my own. I already picked it out, just haven’t actually laid
down the greenbacks yet. I’m 99% sure I’m getting an Old Town Loon 138 Elite. It’s pretty sweet.

I have two recommendations for you:
    1. http://www.andysautosport.com – good place, they have everything and shipping is quick
    2. Don’t start installation 45 minutes before sunset, because you will end up using your headlamp and almost drop a wrench into an unseen location under the ole hood and feel like and idiot.
